I have seen a lot of opinions here that say that if the mother's health is at stake than an abortion is ok. I knew a sweet lady who found out that she was pregnant with her 3rd child. When she went to have tests done they found she also had cancer. The doctor told her that she had to abort the baby because she needed to have chemotherepy. She did that even though it was against her Christian beliefs. About 2 years later she died from the cancer. Now some might say that her husband was better off not having another child to provide for - and that she was better for having 2 more years to live ... but no one REALLY knows what would have happened if she would have refused to get the abortion and had no chemo until after the baby is born. I also heard of a friend of a friend who was in the same situation. But she chose to save the life of her baby and to trust that God would do what is best with her life. Miraculously the pregnancy hormones did something with her cancer and she was cured - with no chemo and she had a heath baby and lived. I am not saying that God always blessed those who choose to keep their baby in this ituation by giving them long life - but all I am saying is that doctors are not always right. I would rather a million times give life to a baby and put my own life in God's hands and allow him to choose what would happen to me than have an abortion and then live or die with the guilt of that life on my hands. I know this is a very touchy subject - and I also know that if you have had an abortion - God is a God who forgives and you can find full forgivness from Him.
